I don't know how that would be possible to get to without removing the turbo, or the engine. Pictures included here for reference and discussion - You can see the bracket here behind where the turbo is about to be installed: 
Here you can see the bracket tucked back behind the installed turbo - top two bolts of it just to the right of the very large engine stand bolt:

If it IS possible, I don't know that I'd like to go through the headache of it... Sometimes just doing it the straightforward way actually becomes easier than the workaround. But I'm curious to know if someone's actually done it. Good luck!
